Convention in Estes Park a BIG HIT!

By all accounts, the 2014 Colorado Combined Convention was a great success!

The historic Stanley Hotel and the friendly community of Estes Park offered the perfect opportunity for learning, networking, fun and relaxation during the three-day event.

We heard many positive comments about the "new" Convention format from funeral service professionals and suppliers alike. Convention Sponsors were pleased with the numerous opportunities for interaction without the burden of a trade show booth.

CFDA would like to extend a special THANK YOU to the following:

To Bill Smith, CFD, with Allnutt Funeral Service, Estes Park, for sharing his time, resources and references within the Estes Park community. Bill arranged a welcome address by Estes Park Mayor Bill Pinkham; discounts and reservations at local restaurants for lunch and dinner groups; and the fabulous barbecue dinner catered by Amy Gruwe and American Legion Post 119. It's quite clear why Estes Park loves their local Funeral Director, Bill Smith.

To our Convention Sponsors who provided the financial support to make this event possible. By sponsoring costs for speakers, catering, and other overhead expenses, we were able to improve the caliber of our education programs and enhance social events for everyone.

To our Convention Speakers -- Gary O'Sullivan, Marguerite Ham, Matt Greenwald, Chuck Bowman, Aaron Corr and Dana Durrance -- for keeping our members entertained, informed and enlightened.

To the Convention Planning Committee who shared their great ideas to give the Colorado Combined Convention a new spin.

And finally, to the Members of CFDA and CFSB certified professionals who attended the 2014 Convention in Estes Park. We hope you had a great experience and will share your suggestions to help us make the Convention even better next year!
