Today’s drivers are confronted with countless visual, mental, and physical distractions while on the road undefined including cell phones and GPS systems. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, driver distractions are a contributing cause in approximately 25 percent of all motor vehicle crashes or about 1.2 million accidents. However, distractions can be hard to quantify, and the number of accidents due to driver distractions is difficult to define. "Distracted Driving – In the Blink of an Eye" discusses how to avoid potentially fatal driving habits and stay safe behind the wheel. (1.0 contact hours)
