The conference provides specialized topics for local vital records offices, registered and intern midwives, birth registrars physicians, medical facilities, funeral homes, and coroners. We will also offer Continuing Education Credits from the Colorado Coroners Association, and the Colorado Funeral Directors Association.
We have a full schedule of breakout sessions on the agenda with many new speakers and topics to share with you! Here’s a sneak-peek: Jarrod Hindman, M.S., Office of Suicide Prevention at CDPHE who will present information on Preventing Suicide: A Public Health Imperative in Colorado; Chris Wells, Ph.D, M.S., will be the Keynote Speaker focusing on Health Information Technology: Trends and Innovations; Mitch Phillips, Occupational Safety and Health Administration will be discussing OSHA – Myths and Facts; Erica James, Paternity Establishment Specialist, Colorado Department of Human Services will have a presentation on Acknowledgement of Paternity; Justin Baumgartner, Ph.D, COO/Critical Incident Specialist from Rapid Response Emergency Systems will present an Active Shooter Survival Training.
We’ve also brought back some of the highly attended sessions from the past years including Newborn Screening Programs, and Birth Registration, as well as Death Certificates A to Z. We know you will be excited with the new program agenda.
This year we also have an Exhibitor Hall with over 16 exhibitors including The Carson J. Spencer Foundation, DORA, Social Security Administration, U.S. Passport, Rapid Response Emergency System, as well as a number of Colorado Dept Programs including Prevention Services/Newborn Screening Services, Injury/Suicide Prevention Services, and Emergency Preparedness & Response Division. The Exhibitor Hall will provide you with an opportunity to have your questions answered one-on-one and gain valuable resources.
